To The Sea
Take me to the sea,
back to the shore,
from where I came.
I crave the blessed relief
of the waves against the stones,
crashing seductively,
and my heart aches
to join them,
smothered between the two,
and my life would be
complete and
over.
Take me back to the sea,
so I may sleep again
for the first time
in a long time.
And these eyes
can glimpse the light
sifting through the waves
as they roll slowly
overhead.
